Sports specialists celebrate record holiday courses

05/08/10

SportStars, a business which specialises in providing high quality sports coaching for children aged 4-12, has extended its number of sports courses from 20 to 40 to satisfy requests from busy parents wanting to keep their children occupied during the six week break.

Running every week day of the school holiday, the courses will give kids between the ages of 4-12 the chance to take part in a host of activities including football, rugby, basketball and hockey.

Ian McIntosh, head of SportStars holiday courses said: “Our holiday courses offer parents an ideal way to not only keep the kids occupied throughout the holidays but also encourage children to keep fit and active. The courses that we run during the summer are always popular as they are a bit different from the norm and we’re confident that this year will be no different.”

Established in 2005, during school term time SportStars provides head teachers with a solution for covering PPA time through structured PE, music and drama lessons in addition to holiday courses throughout the year.

Continued Ian: “The activities will give children the chance to get active and make new friends. With trophies, certificates and prizes up for grabs it is a great way for children to have fun in a safe and familiar environment.”

On adding more courses to meet demand, managing director of SportStars James Taylor said: “To double our holiday courses this summer is fantastic news for SportStars. We pride ourselves on offering a service which is second to none and the great results that we are achieving are down to the talented team of sports specialists we employ.”
