Superstars Wins Best Business Award

19/10/11

Leading child development company, SuperStars has been named the Best Small to Medium Sized Business at the UK-wide Best Business Awards.

Established by James Taylor in 2005, the Cardiff-based company was originally launched as SportStars before being rebranded in 2010 to incorporate the company’s diverse offering including sports coaching, art and music lessons, afterschool clubs and holiday courses. Since launching, the company has continued to roll out its services across the UK, opening offices in Bristol, Hereford and Liverpool.

On winning the national business award, managing director of SuperStars, James Taylor said: “This win demonstrates our ongoing commitment to working with children and helping to develop brighter futures. We faced some very tough competition from organisations across the UK to win this award and I am delighted that our passion, drive and determination to help educate children has been recognised by the judging panel.

“Due to our success in Wales we have been able to roll out our service offering across the bridge. This award win is a testament to the team of staff we employ who have worked tirelessly over the last 12 months to develop the company and open three new offices in England. Over the coming months, we are looking forward to expanding and taking the company UK-wide.”

One of the UK’s most acclaimed awards, the Best Business Awards aim to highlight and reward excellence across the private and public sectors. Due to their high profile, the awards attract a wide range of entries from across all sectors from large international PLCs and public sector organisations to dynamic and innovative SMEs.

Commenting on the Best Small to Medium Sized Business award for SuperStars, Andrew Areoff, Chairman of the Judges said: “Driven by a passion to develop brighter futures for children, SuperStars has pioneered a new service providing a wide range of confidence-building and exciting experiences for school children in subjects such as drama, sport, music and art.  With a growing number of customers and ambitious plans to expand, the company has been going from strength to strength delivering highly impressive financial results and earning the acclaim of headteachers and education professionals who welcome SuperStars’ high level of expertise.”
